July edition of The BUZZ, Organic Aotearoa's monthly newsletter
Hello and welcome to the July edition of The BUZZ, Organic Aotearoa’s monthly dose of news from the organic sector and beyond.
It is inspiring to see so much work happening by our members and the Organic Sector; please take the time to read the Action Group update. This work leads on from the 2022-2025 Organic Sector Strategy and will guide the creation of the critical projects that will ultimately grow the sector. I am excited to learn how each group is getting on and their plans when each team presents at the Organic Action Day in September. We hope you'll join us and participate in what will be a progressive day. Tickets are on sale now.
Last week, Prime Minister Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern led a trade mission to Melbourne and Sydney accompanied by a 31-strong delegation of businesses. Seeing two New Zealand organic clothing businesses, KowTow and OANZ member Nature Baby filled me with optimism. Let's make sure more of our homegrown organic businesses are part of these delegations in the future.
And if this excites you as much as it does me, please read the OANZ board member notice below. We are looking for enthusiastic people to put your names forward to be a director of the OANZ board. Please get in touch if you can help us navigate through a period of growth as we action the sector strategy. OANZ is making significant progress, but we need help to take us all to the next level. Being part of our governance team is rewarding work if you are passionate about organics and have time.Ngā mihi nui,
Chris
